Architecture for Communities at Folkemødet 2024
On Friday 14 June 2024, we held a debate event on Architecture for Communities at Folkemødet. We shared 4 perspectives on physical communities and tackled how organizations can work with community as a focal point for both employees and members.
We discussed hands-on experiences of being the social glue and bridge builder among the residents of the senior housing communities Broen, Teglgården and Balancen.
We inspired with an evidence-based approach to creating good spaces that bring people together and create space for community. We debated experiences of living in a community and having a community built and developed so that there is room for everyone, and so that it is also exciting to live there for a long time.
With Architecture for Communities, you learned about experiences with how physical communities are a focal point for social development and well-being. Just as we made the participants smarter about how to use architecture consciously to support community-creating behaviour.
On stage we had invited:
Per Schulze, Head of Verke Bofællesskaber Pension Danmark
Rasmus Rune Nielsen, Head of Secretariat Realdania
Morten Ørsted-Rasmussen, Regional Director of the Heart Association
