Well-being in Animal Protection
At Dyrenes Beskyttelse, TOGETHER Architecture has transformed a rational office building from the 1990s into a warm and embracing work environment that promotes both calm and social relationships. The vision has been to create a workplace where employees can thrive, meet and collaborate in an inspiring and cohesive environment.
As an activity-based workplace, the environment is designed to support both concentration and collaboration. The layout has been restructured with a focus on social gathering points, where coffee stations, lounge furniture and flexible work zones invite spontaneous meetings and shared breaks. Dead square meters such as the classic canteen or meeting rooms have been given more functions, ensuring that all square meters are optimally utilized, so that the costs of the rent are optimized.
To give the place a unique character, artist Signe Kejlbo has hand-painted a site-specific work that adorns a large window section. The work adds a personal and artistic touch to the space and strengthens the identity of the place. As a common feature, more tactility has been added through the use of wood, warm colors and materials, which create a comfortable and inviting atmosphere, and which is in line with the organization's brand.
The Danish Animal Welfare Service has a workplace that is both functional and humane. With a focus on behavioral architecture and a well-thought-out floor plan, employees can now find both peace, inspiration and social contact as needed, in a comfortable and vibrant environment.
