VOX Community House

VOX Community House Copenhagen was created by and for Danish civil society.

In close collaboration with, among others, Greenpeace, the Danish Refugee Council, Amnesty International and Oxfam IBIS, TOGETHER Architecture has developed a common meeting place for volunteers and employees from the many civil society organizations that are based in the building.

The project brings together a number of shared facilities that the organizations can use both in everyday life and for special events year-round — from political meetings and morning gatherings to workshops, banner production and social events.

The facilities are located on the ground floor of the former Defence Clothing Factory and include meeting rooms of various sizes, a café and canteen, a therapy room, as well as a workshop and podcast studio in the basement.

The behavioral architecture is developed with a focus on community, diversity and social sustainability. The layout supports both spontaneous meetings across organizations and the need for peace, immersion and individual work. Therefore, the environments alternate between shared long tables, smaller café zones and more intimate niches.

The result is a vibrant and harmonious environment with high functionality and great flexibility, where the square meters are actively utilized throughout the majority of the day — and where the physical framework strengthens relationships, collaboration and shared commitment across the organizations.
